Thank you for your interest in supporting the work of the Washington Poor People's Campaign!

 

As you know, the outcome of the 2024 election was clearly not a favorable one for poor and working people throughout most of our country. Of course we fared much better here in Washington state. The national WAPPC has undergone some reorganization since then, and we here in Washington have been waiting for marching orders from "National." In the meantime, there are many other critical issues that our members are concerned about here at home, and most of the Washington statewide coordinating committee members have chosen to focus on those concerns for the time being.

 

The WAPPC currently has an adequate credit union balance to meet our ongoing caretaking needs such as maintaining our web domain. Accordingly, we do not feel it is appropriate for WAPPC to continue accepting donations since the campaign is currently inactive. We respectfully suggest that you redirect your financial support to any organizations that are working toward economic and social justice for you and your neighbors. In particular, consider supporting a mutual aid effort in your neighborhood that supports immigrants and their families who are directly impacted by the illegal mass deportation campaign being carried out by ICE.
